Starting Sunday, August 17th the Poets' Asylum began meeting at Jumpin' Juice and Java, 335 Chandler Street, Worcester. The reading now runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please help spread the word.
Jumpin' Juice and Java is a cafe offering gourmet coffee, fruit smoothies, sandwiches, baked goods and other specialties. They are excited to have us on their schedule and ready to serve up tasty treats. Check them out.

Between January - June 2008 the Poets' Asylum met at The Q Cafe (362 Chandler Street, Worcester). We were grateful to have a home after the sudden closing of the Java Hut and we wish the folks at the Q well in the future.
For 11 years the Java Hut in Webster Square was the home of the Poets' Asylum. On December 23, 2007 the Java Hut closed. It was an excellent venue over the years and many amazing words were shared over that time.
Before the Java Hut there was Eleni's Midnight Cafe, the station wagon, basements, Harlow Street and more. Home is where the words are shared and the community gathers. May there always be a home!
