On Thursday, February 14, 2002 at 8 p.m. the Worcester Po8try Project presented a performance of Eve Ensler's Obie Award-winning The Vagina Monologues . The proceeds from the sold out performance benefited charities that combat violence against women. These included local organizations Abby's House, Daybreak, the Rape Crisis Center and an international organization supporting the women of Afghanistan.
