<h3><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Coming up on Sunday, January 17th</font></h3></center>
<p align="justify"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">This week the Poets' Asylum welcomes back <b>Dianne Haas</b>.
Haas is returning to Worcester after recovering from a fifteen year writers
block she refers to as "her career". In 1994, Diane performed at Lollapalooza
and played on the Worcester Slam Team at Nationals. Tragically, In 1995, she
suffered a nearly fatal attack of capitalism. No one heard from her again
until she was laid off in 2009 and stumbled into the Bridge Cafe in Manchester,
NH sputtering something about bees beating off. However, it was her poem "Not
The Girl Next Door" that earned her the feature slot for Erotic Poetry Night in
February, despite the fact that it rhymes. Diane's blender has many speeds but
she generally oscillates between puree and chop. She is happy to call
Manchester, NH her new poetry home but Worcester will always be her first
love.</font></p>
<p align="justify"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Join us at Jumpin' Juice and Java (335 Chandler Street,
Worcester). The sign-up list goes out by 6:00 p.m. and the reading starts by
6:30 p.m. No cover however please put some money in the bucket; it's how we
pay the feature.</font></p>

<h3><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">January 10th Revisited</font></h3></center>
<p align="justify"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><b>Sierra DeMulder</b> was our feature this week at the Poets'
Asylum. With poise and confidence she approached the mic. Nevermind that the
place the packed with full, full, full. Nevermind the overcapacity open mic
full of voices new and regular alike. Sierra took to the mic with practiced
ease and delivered the goods. Moving between slam length offerings and shorter,
more intimate pieces she spoke out on Marilyn Monroe, working at a coffee shope,
a school shooting and Jeffrey Dahlmer. Great stuff received with hearty
applause. Thanks for the words Sierra.</font></p>
