Coming up on Sunday, September 20th
[image: Dave Macpherson] This week the Poets' Asylum
<http://poetsasylum.org/> welcomes *Dave Macpherson* as our feature.
Macpherson is a fixture on the Worcester poetry scene. He might be in front
of the mic sharing his unique take on the secret lives of superheroes, classic
cars <http://www.everydayfiction.com/67-mustang-by-dave-macpherson/> or
suburban housewives. He might be helming the once a month Worcester
Storytellers. Or he could be quietly deliberating as one of the assistant
editors for Ballard Street Poetry Journal. What is certain is that when he
steps up to the mic he brings the best words he has to offer. A prolific
writer Dave is always finding a new topic to tackle, offering a fresh take
on legends, urban myths and the everyday.
You don't want to miss this feature, even if you think you've heard
everything he has to offer, because you haven't. Join us at Jumpin' Juice &
Java (335 Chandler Street, Worcester). The sign-up list goes out around 6:00
p.m. and the reading usually starts by 6:30 a poetry open mic. No cover;
please put some money in the bucket to pay the feature.

September 13th Revisited
*Corrina Bain* was our feature this week. Corrina delivered a great feature
with practiced ease and powerful words. With deep insight she crafts tight
works that draw our minds toward places it would rather not dwell. Whether
she is talking about brutal rape, self hatred or that friend your not really
close to any more her words pull you in, make you sit on the edge of your
seat, make you want more. Thanks for sharing your words with us Corrina.
