Coming up on Sunday, November 8th

[image: Rob Sturma] Join the Poets' Asylum <http://poetsasylum.org/> on
Sunday, November 8th for our regular poetry open mic followed by a feature
by *Rob Sturma*. Sturma has performed for a number of years under the
monicker Ratpack Slim, and during those years, he was on the Los Feliz Slam
Team two years running (2003-2004), made it to the finals stage with Team
Hollywood in 2005, and as slammaster of Western Regional slam team Gang
Green, took three teams to Big Sur, rocking nationally ranked teams outta
their seats. He was the host of the seminal Los Angeles open mic Green from
2003-2007.

Come on down to Jumpin' Juice and Java (335 Chandler Street, Worcester). The
reading starts around 6:00 p.m. No cover; please put some money in the
bucket when it comes your way - it's how we pay our features.

November 1st Revisited

Ah Jack, we've missed you. After a packed open mic *Jack McCarthy* took to
the mic as our feature. His set contained a mix of well loved pieces and
rarely read work. Mixed among them were secrets of high school popularity,
calendar savants, Tennesse Williams & Mother Theresa, and the missing
response from Odysseus. Great stuff through and through. Thanks for the
words Jack.
