The Poets' Asylum in the News

An article on the Poets' Asylum and our move to Jumpin' Juice and Java has
appeared online and was picked up by several MetroWest newspapers such as
the Concord Journal. The article includes a pair of videos, one with
snippets of poetry from new venue and another from The Q.

You can read the article and view the videos by visiting

really is a long URL).

This week *The Spot*, the weekly poetry reading at the Hotel Vernon (1 Kelly

at 8:00 p.m. with an open mic. This week they celebrate their *1st

munchies before the open and lots of silliness. Come celebrate with
Worcester's newest weekly reading. No cover; bring a few bucks to throw in
the captain's hat and to buy a $1 draft. 21+

August 31st Revisited

We had a smaller audience this week however those who did come out were full
of poetic appreciation and eager to hear good words. We welcome the 2 new
readers who took to the mic this week - please come again. Our feature this
week was local poet *Jen Mahon*. Jen shared an energetic set of both on and
off page pieces. She touched on family, issued a call to help those in need,
railed against "Don't Ask Don't Tell" and shared her heart through her
words. Thanks for an great feature Jen.
