Poets' Asylum -> Everything Else -> Behind the Scenes -> Cyndi Keeley The Poets' Asylum

Bio for Cyndi Keeley

Cynthia Keeley was bitten by the writing bug at the tender age of 12, when she won a state-wide writing competition that she was required to enter for her seventh-grade English class and was called "not too bad" by her teacher. She has spent all her subsequent years writing poetry and short stories, with hopes of living up to the promise she showed during that competition. Despite seeming quite undisciplined about her writing, she still considers it her passion, much to the disapproval of her more "serious" writer-friends. She can currently be found organizing fundraisers for the Poets' Asylum in Worcester, MA, trying not to oversleep for poetry readings in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and lackadaisically working on her first novel, which she hopes to complete before she turns fifty. She also likes monkeys and Chinese-food.

Cyndi is currently a co-host of the Sunday night reading and arranges the mad important task of fundraising for the Poets' Asylum. You can contact Cyndi by email at fundraising @ poetsasylum.org.
